I love the simplicity of this still life: a comfy chair to plop yourself into for a good read, a sculptural reading light for when the sun goes down, and the monochromatic color scheme. It all works, with the blonde wood, beige rug, honey colored walls, beige drapery and chair punctuated with pops of black {metal lamp/picture frames} and white {picture mats/window mullions} to keep it interesting…to make the space sing, really. And the grouping of artwork displayed in an interesting way elevates this space from the ordinary to the FABULOUS. Perhaps an idea from this space, some glimmer of style, will rub off on all of us!
